One of the other specializations of Bangalore Ceramics is manufacturing customized Ceramic Alumina setters and part specific staging blocks with close tolerances. Our vast experience and capability in designing setters is widely used for metal sintering in the Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) industry. Since a decade and a half, we have been a major supplier for ceramic setters to the top global leaders in the MIM industry. We also manufacture customized alumina thick substrates. Our special ceramic grade used for ceramic setters have lower surface roughness which helps in uniform shrinkage during the firing process and excellent thermal shock resistance which enables faster firing cycles. It has close tolerance which minimizes product distortion and eliminates secondary processes. It is compatible with most of the ferrous and non-ferrous alloys thereby unchanging its chemical properties. Customers using our ceramic stagier have benefitted by consistency and repeatability in their production therefore easing the manufacturing process. Some of the applications of vacuum brazed ceramic-to-metal are microwave tubes, particle accelerators, semiconductor feedthrough, laser devices of high vacuum integrity and medical devices which require ceramic-to-metal seals like implantable devices & surgical tools. Our vacuum brazing process is compatible for the Military, Aerospace and Medical industry. We ensure that the metal-to-metal vacuum brazing process doesn’t oxidize the metals, therefore removing the need for plating or coating. Depending on the material type and part geometry, our experienced engineers develop the appropriate brazing joint design. We also glaze ceramic products to protect against contamination and to facilitate easy cleaning and maintenance.

Bangalore Ceramics is fully equipped for manufacturing technical ceramics by Ceramic Injection Moulding (CIM) technology. Getting involved at the development stages of a project helps us optimize delivery time for development of the product. From creating prototypes to large quantities, we specialize in manufacturing intricate and complex ceramics. This multi-step process begins with the compounding of fine ceramic powder with polymer binders to prepare the feedstock. The feedstock is then moulded to the required shape of the component. The polymer used is then removed thermally from the component in a process called de-binding. After which, the ceramic component is sintered in a furnace at high temperatures above 1600 .

Also known as advanced ceramics, precision ceramics, structural or fine ceramics. Bangalore Ceramics is one of the few manufacturers in the world who have been able to develop ceramics for the vacuum industry. These ultra-high vacuum compatible ceramics (UHV Ceramics) has no de-gassing which is used in Particle Accelerator Plants of 1E-10 mbar.l/s.

Bangalore Ceramics is one of the largest manufacturers & suppliers of Zirconia products in India. Also known as Advanced Technical Ceramics, Zirconia products are high performance ceramics which are resistant to high wear and tear. The other properties include –

 Zirconia is also chosen for its tribological performance. Having Zirconia as the base material, different properties are achieved depending on doping like Yttria & Magnesia. 

We manufacture Yttria Stabilized Zirconia (YSZ) and Magnesia Partially Stabilized Zirconia (Mg-PSZ), which can be custom formed to meet the customer’s specifications.

Apart from dry pressing and isostatic pressing, Zirconia ceramic is also injection moulded to achieve complex Zirconia shapes with close tolerances. Green machining of Zirconia ceramic components can be performed to achieve critical geometry. Grinding is done after sintering to achieve close tolerances.
