Delta’s DPC 70 series cooling towers are deployed in large industrial applications for lowering the water temperature at optimal levels. These are field erected cooling towers made from weather resistant and aesthetically appealing pultruded FRP sections. 

Pultruded FRP supporting structures are a good alternative over conventional metal or wooden material, and offer ideal solutions against corrosion issues in the industrial environment. The Pultruded FRP profiles are widely acknowledged for their high mechanical strength, dimensional accuracy, UV resistance, light-weight and better durability. 

These mechanical draft cooling towers operate on the principle of induced draft airflow. Fans are mounted on the top at air discharge point, resulting in high exit air velocity. Fans rotate on the low speed with the help of gearboxes. Adopting the counter flow pattern in the tower, the air is pulled by the fan in upward direction through the fill area and exited from the top, whereby the water in contrast is spread downward over the fill. Air and water create the countercurrent to get the best use of evaporation. Specially designed weather proof motors are capable to run continuously even in the harsh conditions. 

Casing and fan cylinders are made from hand moulded FRP products. High effeciency PVC fills increase the wetted surface area for transfer of heat from water to air. Cold water is finally collected in the RCC basin constructed by the customer at site.

Delta’s DFC-60 series cooling towers come in square or rectangular shape designs. These cooling towers have advantage of compactness and modularity and are extensively used in verity of applications like HVAC, Heat exchangers and many types of industrial processes.

Great flexibility is introduced by multi-cell cooling towers, which can be tailored to meet individual cooling requirements and site conditions.

Casing of the tower is made from tough and weather resistant FRP material. Cold water basin is an integral part of the casing. The supporting structure is made using hot dip galvanised mild steel.

The cooling towers are provided with honeycomb PVC fills for optimum heat transfer. The water is evenly distributed inside the tower over the fill area through a PVC main header, branch pipes and splash caps.    

To minimise the drift losses, multi-pass blade type drift eliminators are provided over the water distribution system. Fans create upward movement of air, and water is sprayed downward, producing the counter flow principle.  

Induced draft fans with manually adjustable pitch are directly mounted on the special duty weather proof motors. All materials are corrosion resistant and durable, capable to operate in sever site conditions.
