Ceftriaxone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic having broad-spectrum activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. This is used to treat serious infections, particularly those caused by susceptible strains of Enterobacteriaceae. Sulbactam is a β-lactamase inhibitor. It works by interfering with the formation of the bacteria’s cell wall so that the wall ruptures, resulting in the death of the bacteria. Ceftriaxone for injection USP is a sterile, semisynthetic, broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic for intravenous or intramuscular administration. 

Tazobactam is a penicillinate sulphone, structurally related to sulbactam. Being a beta- lactamase inhibitor, it is synergistic with many beta-lactamase-labile drugs such as penicillins and cephalosporins.

Tazobactam inhibits all beta-lactamases inhibited by clavulanic acid, but, in addition, it also has some activity against chromosomally-mediated induced (or derepressed) enzymes of Morganella morganii, Citrobacter freundii, Enterobacter cloacae, Serratia marcescens and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Tazobactam also appears to be a weaker enzyme inducer than other beta-lactamase inhibitors.

Preoperative and Postoperative Treatment

Indications:
-Is very effective against both Gm-ve as well as Gm-ve Bacterial spectrum.
-It is indicated in mastitis, metritis, salmonellosis, Calf scour, E. coli infections.
-It is the drug of choice for all Resp Tract infections as well as urinary tract infections.

Dosage :
-Large Animals: 5, 10 mg/kg. 
-Small Animals: 15-20 mg/ kg dissolve the content with sterile water for injection.

Description : Oxytetracycline Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, with bacteriostatic action against a large number of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms (like Streptococci, Staphylococci, Pasteurella spp., Brucella spp., Corynebacteria spp., Erysipelothrix, Coliforms, Salmonella), Rickettsiae, Mycoplasmas, Chlamydia and some protozoa. Activity against Pseudomonas, Proteus- and Klebsiella is low. Applied parenterally, oxytetracycline quickly penetrates the blood and tissues. The advanced effect of this preparation is the extremely long therapeutic effect. Oxytetracycline Injection acts synergistic with polymyxin.

Indication:
