About Us
The Company started its operation in the district of Howrah, West Bengal, India, by manufacturing pipe fittings, bends and sockets etc. Gradually, the Company established a unit for producing steel pipes and tubes with installed capacity of 5000 MTPA. During that period the main thrust was to utilize the country's natural resources by developing Agriculture, Mining and Iron and Steel Industries. Within a short span of time, the Company with its quality product captured a good share in the market and gradually its capacity was increased up to 160000 MTPA. It is one of the largest manufacturing units of ERW/HFW Black and Galvanized Steel Tubes from ½" to 10" confirming the National and International Standards and the units are accredited with ISO 9001-2008.
In 1993, the Company diversified its activities by setting up a unit for manufacturing of narrow width Cold Rolled Strips with installed capacities of 10000 MTPA. In view of further expansion programmed in the same field, the company set up a state-of-the-art plant for manufacturing wider width Cold Rolled Strips and Galvanized Plain/Corrugated Sheets in 1998 at Jangalpur in the district of Howrah to meet the Domestic and International demand with the installed capacities was 40000 MTPA. Gradually, their capacity was increased up to 350000 MTPA. Under the said expansion plan, the Company installed 2 nos of modern 6 HI C.R. Mill and 2 nos of Galvanizing line of higher standards. At present the Company's Cold Rolled and Galvanized Sheets are accepted and appreciated through out the world.
Keeping expansion as our approach to continuous growth, the Company made further successful expansion in 2008 by setting up another unit for manufacturing Line Pipe including a Coating Plant for size up to 20" Outside Diameter with a production capacity of 240000 MTPA at Jangalpur.The machinery for the unit has been processed from Japan.The Company is licensed and authorized to use API 5L monogram for its pipe used in Hydro-Carbon Sector.
After achieving a story foot hold in steel sector, the Company enlarged its horizon by entering into Aluminium business as well.Aluminium Foil Rolling mills where bare Aluminium Foil is produced by rolling foil stock.Jindal India is the only unit in India capable of producing Foil upto 6 micron.Compan is now in the process of putting another mill which will enable it to go upto 4 micron Aluminium foil production.

Cold Rolled Sheet
Cold Rolled steel is produced by 6-Hi / Reversing Cold Rolling Mills. These mills are equipped with latest technologies of configurations comprising of Mill Management System, ABB make Advent technology system.
Automatic Gauge Control System and ABB make Digital DC Drives which assures the quality and prescribed limit of thickness of the materials. This automation process enables the reduction of thickness of material up to 90 %, i.e. as thin as 0.10 mm as per customer's demand and International requirements. The plant is also equipped with Bell Furnaces and Skin Pass facility to cater the market for Domestic appliances

Galvanized Steel Sheet Plain or Corrugation and Coils
Jindal (India) Limited produces hot dipped galvanized coils in accordance with international standards, JIS G3302 (Grade SGCH, SGCC), ASTM A653 and IS 277. Its coils have excellent corrosion resistance, printabil6ty and workability.
The De-greasing Section helps the removal of oil and dirt by a cascaded process of hot alkaline de-greasing, cold rising, hot rising and hot air drying. Then annealing is done in an electrically heated horizontal furnace operated under a protective atmosphere with a calibrated ratio of nitrogen and hydrogen generated in a state–of–the–art automated Protective Gas Plant using ammonia and air as primary raw materials.
Hot dip galvanizing of the strip is carried out by immersing it in a zinc bath maintained at 460 degree centigrade. The chemistry of the bath is carefully controlled to ensure proper adhesion and formability of the applied zinc together with bright blemish free uniform spangles. The galvanized coils are chromated to improve its resistance to white rust. The chromating parameters are continually monitored and sheets are regularly tested through salt-spray tests to ensure the performance of this process.
We can also provide galvanized plain and corrugated sheets with required length. Galvanized corrugated sheet can be produced with closed tolerance of standard depth, pitch and width.

At Jindal India Limited, Aluminium Foil is produced by rolling foil stock on two high speed, 4-Hi Foil Mills – a Universal Spidem Foil Mill & a Finishing Achenbach Foil Mill with rolling width of 1100 mm.
Both mills are capable of rolling down to light (9-12 microns) & ultra-light gauges (7 microns).The combination of mills makes the manufacturing system extremely versatile in terms of gauge mix, and Universal Foils aims to carve out a niche for itself in the light gauge foil market for House foil & packaging of Gutka, Food, Confectionery and Cigarette.The mills have been upgraded with new Siemens drives, automatic gauge control & upgraded hydraulics.
The mills are well supported by ancillary equipment such as Rewinder, Doubler, Separators (Kampf & Schmutz) , Annealing furnaces, Roll Grinder (Herkules) and a fully equipped quality assurance laboratory

In Jindal India Limited we are planning to development all range of Crash Barrier, spares, Guard rails to support all your needs. We are having the set up and facilities for manufacturing regular & customized ‘W Beam’ and ‘Thrie Beam’ type Crash Barriers , spacer & post along with best quality of hot-dip galvanizing arrangement. Our vision is to manufacture & supply the Crash with stringent quality controls and to manufacture as per the specifications laid down by Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MORTH) Ministry of Surface Transport (MOST), and also International Standards, viz., AASHTO 180, EN-1317-1&2. Currently we are equipped with plant & machinery to produce 60,000 MT of Crash Barrier Annually.
