EIA studies provide the ability to make sustainable decisions to determine the potential impacts and help mitigate the adverse impacts by adopting alternative technologies, site selection, and processes. EIA is required for the Infrastructural projects, Industrial Project and Mining Projects as per the MoEF notification 14th September 2006 and as per the defined EIA process and its Schedule in the said notification. The scheduled category project in the notification undergoes through the EIA studies and after having done the Screening, and Scoping and Public Consultaion finally gets the EC (Environment Clearance) by MoEF (Ministry of Environment & Forest)and SEIAA (State Environment Impact Assessment Authority).
