Sara Water Technologies offer Dual Media filter is highly efficient of removing suspended particulate matter from water.
The multilayer of media in Dual Media filter are specially selected for their particle size, specific gravity and proven ability to trap the particles of specific size ranges. The top layer of Anthracite and Sand trap the More than 10-micron size of particles and debris.
Sara Water Technologies has determined that multi properly selected media offer the optimum combination of filtration efficiency, economy and service reliability.
The filters provide an efficient means of providing high clarity water either for direct use or for feeding water to other units in a system such as softeners, demineralization and reverse osmosis unit.

Reverse osmosis is a process for removing dissolved mineral salt, organic molecules, microorganism and other impurities from water by forcing water under increased pressure to pass through a semi permeable membrane . This process is the reverse of the natural osmotic process in which fluids with a low concentration of dissolved solids pass through a membrane into an area of higher concentration with reverse osmosis. Demineralisation is remove the total dissolved solids (TDS) from water. A properly packaged unit incorporates the principles of ion exchange, degasification and polishing to produce mineral free water.
Sara Water Technologies incorporates good design procedures for optimum results from demineralisation. With mixed bed (MB) ion exchanger, high purity water can be produced for high-pressure boiler applications. Proprietary Ion exchange resins used in our demineralisation plants comply with stringent quality norms.

Softening of water by the ion exchange process involves the exchange or substitution of the hardness minerals of Calcium and Magnesium minerals. The exchange is made possible because the minerals are ionic in nature often called ionized impurities which means they have an electrical charge. The ion exchange process is based on the fact that like charges repel one another and unlike charges attract.
An ion exchange softener exchanges the hardness minerals calcium and magnesium dissolved in water for the soft mineral sodium contained on the softener resin which does for less damage to objects it contacts principally because it does not build upon surfaces as scale deposits.
As the calcium and magnesium contact the resin beds in their travel through the resin tank they displace the sodium ions from the exchange sites. During the ion exchange process relatively small amounts of other strongly charged cation removed the calcium and Magnesium.
