Our Challenging Journey For Green Mobilty Started In The Year 2013 It Was In 2013, Like-Minded Individuals Forayed Into The Electric Vehicle (Ev) Sector, Firmly Believing That The Future Belongs To Electric. Imports From China The Team First Imported E-Rickshaws From China. However, The Imported E-Rickshaws Did Not Do Well In Bengaluru As The Auto Drivers Were Comfortable With Fossil Fuel. The Team Then Tried Indigenously Retro-Fitting But That Effort Also Did Not Bear Positive Results. In October 2013, The Team Converted One Prototype. Around The Same Time, A Sri Lankan Company By Name Laugfs Eco Solution Invited The Team To Sri Lanka To Retro-Fit Three Auto Rickshaws With Lead Acid (La) Batteries. The Project Was Successful. Indigenous Manufacturing Capabilities That Gave The Team Confidence That It Could Be Done In India, Though There Were No Norms For Approval Of Electric Vehicles In India. It Was Around 2016 Volta Automotive India Private Limited (Vaipl) Was Formed. The Team Of Vaipl Is Mr. B.N.Madan, An Expert In The Ev Sector With Over 27 Years Of Experience In The Electrical Sector,Dr. Anees Ahmed, Nagpur, Ev Enthusiast, Educationist And Social Entrepreneur Who Helped Lots Of Poor People To Get Free Education And Settle In Their Life And Later Associated With Mr. Guru Shastrimath, An Entrepreneur In Diversified Fields With National And International Connections, Came On Board To Give Direction To The E-Rickshaw Venture, As Vaipl Team Firmly Believe That ‘Electric Is Going To Drive The Future’. The Project Got A New Lease Of Life With Mr. Madan, Dr. Anees Ahmed And Mr. Guru Shastrimath, Steering It.
